Veterans Oasis Park, Chandler: A large park with a lake, Environmental Learning Center and walking/hiking paths.

Hours: 6:00am to 10:30pm

What to expect: A pretty lake with walking paths, covered pavilions (some for rent) and restrooms. There is no playground equipment. The path around the lake is paved and there are additional unpaved trails that can handle most strollers. It is also home to the city’s Environmental Education Center.

Tips: Check out the solar system walk. There are monuments along the path with information about the planets placed to scale as they are from each other in space. Each foot represents 1.5M miles!
